Become a friend of the gallery.
The friends of the gallery program has been established to create a base of philanthropic members with a passion for art who wish to join us in our vision to create a permanent art collection for the town and environs of Clonakilty.
The gallery aims to create a collection which strongly represents artists local to the region and which is reflective of the culture, concerns, history and environment of West Cork.
The funds from the program go exclusively towards acquiring new work for the Clonakilty Arts Centre’s permanent collection with the aim of creating a permanent art collection for Clonakilty and eventually an art museum to house it.
The benefits of becoming a friend of the gallery include:
- Having your name listed as a benefactor (optional).
- Receiving an annual printed booklet of new acquisitions.
- Being invited to exclusive friends of the gallery collector and art history seminars.
- The knowledge that you are contributing to an inaugural art collection for the town of Clonakilty.
- Business members may also be eligible to become exhibition partners and display work in the collection on their premises for a limited time.
- Entitles any artist member to inclusion in the annual members Christmas show.
- Post card set of selected acquisitions made during the year.
Membership levels are tier based for both individuals and businesses. The three main levels are:
